
Barn/Stall Rules
General Information

Horse and tack stalls will be assigned by barn managers and grouped according to 4H clubs. Tack stalls will be shared.

Horses cannot be tied to trailers during the day or left in trailers at night.

Closed shoes or boots must be worn at all times in the vicinity of horses.

No loud noises and "horse play" or water fights around horses.
Curfew Guidelines:
-
Youth must stay away from barns from 10:30 PM until 6:30 AM unless authorized by a Barn Manager or in an emergency.

Quiet time begins at 11:00 PM; please be considerate for the horses and campers!

Stall Management

An Emergency Contact Stall Card must be attached to the stall door IMMEDIATELY after the horse is inside. Cards will be available at the clinic office.

Stalls MUST be cleaned!

During the clinic, participants are expected to clean their stalls daily. Stall cleanliness is inspected each evening. Participants with the cleanest stalls may win a prize! 🎉

After the clinic, all stalls must be scraped clean, with no shavings left. Ensure all staples are removed from the front of stalls.

Manure should only be placed in designated areas.

Stall doors must be kept closed when not in use.

Wheelbarrow and tools should be kept in trailers or available tack stalls.
Horse Care

Horses must have 2 buckets of water during hot weather.
-
A stall fan is highly recommended during hot weather.
-
Horses may not be tied to the outside of the stalls.
