
Camping Rules
Overnight camping is open to participant families and club leaders on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents must provide written permission if their child is staying with adults who are not their relatives.
Youth Supervision:

Youth may only camp with their parent(s), legal guardian(s), or a club leader, who is responsible for them.

A signed permission form is required if a 4-H Chaperone (VSP screened) is supervising the youth.

If a child is not camping with a parent or legal guardian, parents must ensure their child is with a VSP screened 4-H Chaperone and one other youth at all times.

Fees: The camping fee is $175.00 for the whole clinic, which includes electric and water hookups. Fees are due with registration.

Check-In: Campers may check-in after 10:00 AM on the first day of the clinic.

Check-Out: All campers must vacate the premises before 6:00 PM on the last day of the clinic.

Horse Trailers: Horse trailers are only permitted in camping sites if camping within the trailer.

Horse Restrictions: Horses are not allowed in the camping area.

Liability: The Allegan County 4-H program, 4-H Horse Leaders Association, 4-H Five-Day Horse Clinic, and the Allegan County Fair are not responsible for any loss or damage to horses, tack, feed, or vehicles.

Campfire Policy: Campfires are not allowed; however, grills may be used for cooking.

No dogs or bikes are allowed on-site due to prior concerns.

Possession of drugs or alcohol will not be tolerated.

Curfew Guidelines:

Youth must stay away from barns from 10:30 PM until 6:30 AM unless authorized by a Barn Manager or in an emergency.

Quiet time begins at 11:00 PM; please be considerate of other campers.

Anyone violating these rules or engaging in theft, vandalism, drug, or alcohol possession will be asked to leave immediately, with no refund provided.
