Horse Requirements

NOTICE: It’s important that horses and ponies are properly conditioned and ready for some serious exercise before the clinic! Participants can expect to work with their horses for approximately 2-4 hours each day. (The exact duration and intensity will depend on the classes the participants are registered for.)

REQUIRED IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE

Please upload proof of immunizations and negative Coggins during registration HERE or email them to Allegan5day@gmail.com.

  • Required Vaccinations: For the safety of your horse/pony, all animals must receive Flu, Tetanus, WEE, and EEE vaccinations. All immunizations should be given 3-4 weeks before the clinic to be effective.

  • Negative Coggins: A current negative Coggins test is REQUIRED.

Make sure your horse is up to date on all routine care, including farrier work, prior to the clinic. Vet checks will be conducted before classes begin to ensure the safety of both horse and rider.

RECOMMENDED BEFORE PARTICIPATING

  • Recommended Vaccinations: While not required, vaccinations for West Nile Virus, VEE, Strangles, Rhino, and PHF are strongly recommended. All immunizations should be given 3-4 weeks before the clinic to be effective.
